2009-12-07 WGP supplies Mag & Grav services to CGGVeritas
CGGVeritas has contracted WGP to provide complete Magnetic & Gravity (Mag & Grav) survey services onboard one of its vessels. The contract is to run from Oct 2009 to April 2010 plus extension options. WGP supplies the ever-efficient Chekan AM gravimeter which is highly compact as well as being excluded from US international trade restrictions – two advantages that mean WGP can provide Mag-Grav services anywhere in the world and at short notice.
WGP is both a firm believer in and experienced provider of the added value that magnetic and gravity acquisition affords to marine seismic surveys. Employing Mag & Grav acquisition in conjunction with seismic data acquisition will provide an increased clarity of data in comparison to data acquisition alone – and for only a small relative increase in cost which is negligible when compared to the increased value of the data acquired.
